TD Reborn Is Dead, But rEXEcution Is Getting Ready to Jump In

What Happened to Sonic EXE TD Reborn

TD Reborn is Canceled But a New Game is in the Works

Welp. It happened. Like I said it would.
TD Reborn is officially toast.

After mounting drama, shady monetization moves, and a full-on mod revolt, Sonic.EXE: The Disaster Reborn has been shut down – presumably before SEGA even had to send their usual love letter like they did with the original Sonic.EXE: The Disaster on Roblox

And while fans are still sifting through the wreckage of the Discord fallout, something unexpected has already emerged from the ashes:

Gameripper is back!

And apparently he’s been quietly rebuilding the entire thing for months.

In a long-awaited statement to the community, Gameripper665 confirmed that not only were the AI rumors bogus (it helped clean two scripts, not write the game), but that he’s been re-coding the project from the ground up “just for fun” ever since he stepped away earlier this year.

Now that the project’s former owner MajinBacon has nuked the game and (allegedly) tried to cash in on a donation board, Gameripper says he’s reclaiming the project under a new name:

The Disaster: rEXEcution.

Want to find out what happened to TD Reborn? We gotchu covered.

A New Beginning, Minus the Scandal...Mostly

Moderators from the new server claim that MajinBacon lied about the origin of the code, used assets from the original The Disaster, and tried to sneak monetization into the game under the guise of a “bet.” Following that, the mod team staged a full revolt and removed Majin from the community.

The new game, rEXEcution, is being built on a cleaned-up version of TD Reborn’s codebase and is meant to preserve the original vision: no monetization, no shady drama, just the nostalgic chaos that made the first Disaster special.

A Word of Warning from the New Devs

While fans are understandably angry at MajinBacon, Gameripper asked the community to cool it on the harassment. MajinBacon made mistakes – big ones – but ongoing targeted harassment, especially across platforms like TikTok and Roblox, isn’t the way forward.

“Make your memes,” Gameripper says, “but keep it private.” (The Discord for Outcome Memories had to shut down temporarily because things got that ugly.)

Funderful TL;DR

  • TD Reborn is probably permanently shut down

  • Gameripper665 is back from retirement and has nearly completed a re-coded version

  • The new game will be called The Disaster: rEXEcution

  • Harassment of past devs isn’t welcome, no matter how justified your rage may feel

More updates incoming once rEXEcution goes live or I hear anything else with some meat.

Until then, stay safe, keep your donation boards off Roblox, and maybe don’t let your fan game get hijacked again.
