Windrose Early Access: My First Five Hours of Fun and Suffering
I went into Windrose expecting the usual survival game routine. Punch a tree, build a box, pretend I’m having fun while staring at a crafting menu for half my playtime. If you’ve played one crafting survival game, you’ve played most of them. Same systems, different coat of paint, maybe a slightly angrier deer. Five hours later though, I’m still here. That’s already a win. Windrose isn’t reinventing the genre, but it does something a lot of these games forget to do. It actually feels good to play.
