If you thought Twitch drama couldn’t possibly outdo itself, welcome to Shock Value – my scathing, satirical anthem inspired by the now-infamous “#CollarGate” moment that sent Hasan Piker and his dog Kaya trending across every corner of social media.
This isn’t just a diss track.
It’s a roast of the entire Twitch ecosystem that thrives on outrage: the streamers, the hate watchers, and the content vultures who clip faster than you can say “ what context?”.
It all started when a questionable clip surfaced of Hasan’s pup yelping during a livestream. What followed was a perfect storm of denial, deflection, and digital chaos. Claims flew faster than Twitch ads during a subathon: was it a shock collar, a bark trainer, or just a bad moment taken out of context?
The answer, as always on the internet, doesn’t matter nearly as much as the reaction.
Because where there’s controversy, there’s content – and nothing fuels the algorithm like a moral panic with a cute dog attached.
That’s where Shock Value comes in.
The song takes everything absurd about the situation (the denial, the “it just vibrates!” excuses, the QTCinderella self-insertion and inconsistent testimonies) and flips it into a lyrical post-mortem of online hypocrisy.
This was fun to make because I tried to write the lyrics to mirror the performative nature of streaming itself – a world where every apology is monetized, every clip becomes currency, and every “oops” is just another upload away from a sponsorship deal.
If I don’t say so myself: it’s catchy. It’s brutal. And it perfectly encapsulates the ouroboros of influencer culture eating its own tail while pretending it’s just vibing.
This song holds a mirror up to the endless “deny, deny, deny” cycle that defines today’s creator culture, where image management replaces honesty and every scandal just feeds the next one.
Shock Value is my attempt at some satire with teeth, and honestly, I think it’s the perfect song for a platform that pretends to hate drama while secretly living for it.

Hi, I'm the founder and editor-in-chief of Report AFK, a gaming and anime site built for people who are tired of sanitized mainstream media coverage and toothless hot takes. I want to bring both the technical know-how and battle-tested gamer instincts to every article here. Whether I'm deep-diving into ARAM strats, roasting a broken patch, or side-eyeing the latest "diverse" but soulless AAA release, I write with one goal in mind: cut the fluff and tell it how it is. I've worked in digital marketing and spoke in conferences nationwide, but my heart’s always been in the trenches of gaming - whether that’s grinding ladders, theorycrafting late at night, or binge-watching the 38th questionable isekai this season. Follow my rants, insights, and updates on ReportAFK.com and let me know what you think in the comments - I read (and usually respond to) every. single. one.
A place for gamers, by gamers, untarnished by corporate gaming media and their nonstop attempts to elevate bad games while denouncing any developers brave enough to stand up to them.
