Nell’s Diner Opens Its Doors in Phasmophobia on November 11

Nell's Diner Release Date Phasmophobia

Ghost hunters, mark your calendars and grab your EMF readers – Nell’s Diner officially opens its haunted doors on November 11, 2025.

Kinetic Games dropped the announcement on X and followed it up with a teaser on YouTube, confirming that Phasmophobia’s next map is ready to serve up a full plate of paranormal chaos.

While the studio hasn’t released a blog post yet, what we’ve seen and heard paints a pretty clear picture: this isn’t just another haunted house.

Nell’s Diner looks to blend that nostalgic retro charm with the kind of bone-chilling atmosphere only Phasmo can pull off. Think Pulp Fiction meets Poltergeist – with ghosts that don’t care if your fries are still hot.

What’s the Deal with Nell’s Diner?

For the uninitiated (or those who’ve been out of the van for too long), Phasmophobia is a co-op ghost-hunting sim where you and your team collect evidence to identify what’s haunting each location and try not to die in the process.

Each map adds new flavor to that terrifying formula, and Nell’s Diner is the latest to join the roster.

This map trades dark farmhouses and decrepit schools for something straight out of a small-town horror flick: a classic American diner left to rot. Picture neon lights flickering over cracked linoleum, the faint smell of burnt coffee lingering in the air, and a jukebox that plays even when it’s unplugged.

According to early previews, Nell’s Diner features around 13 rooms, with 11 potential ghost rooms, making it a compact yet chaotic playground.

Expect a split between the bright, open front of the diner and the darker, claustrophobic kitchen and staff areas. Oh, and there’s reportedly a freezer room that’s permanently freezing – good luck sorting out your temperature evidence in there.

What to Expect When the Doors Open

Nell’s Diner is categorized as a small map, but don’t let that fool you. Kinetic Games has a habit of turning tight spaces into absolute nightmares. With its compact loops and short hallways, you can expect more aggressive hunts and less breathing room to regroup when things go south.

That freezer area?

It’s going to mess with your usual rhythm. A room that’s always cold means your thermometer readings are basically useless there, so players will have to rely more on tools like EMF or Spirit Box to confirm evidence.

The layout’s front-to-back design also encourages more dynamic teamwork: one group handling the booths and dining area while the other sweeps through the kitchen and storage rooms.

It’s not just about mechanics though. The level design itself seems packed with storytelling details. Overturned chairs, half-eaten meals, and possibly a few hints about what happened to Nell herself.

Phasmophobia has always excelled at worldbuilding through its environments, and this map looks like it’ll continue that tradition in style. Expect new props, new sounds, and maybe even a few tricks that’ll make you jump out of your gaming chair (again).

What to Do When Nell's Diner Opens

Before you clock in at Nell’s, here’s a quick refresher to make sure you’re ready to roll:

  • Update your game on November 11. The map will go live that day.

  • Check your loadout: bring EMF, cams, and motion sensors – the freezer will make thermometers tricky.

  • Scout early: find your hiding spots before the ghost finds you.

  • Split roles: one player manages the diner floor, another handles the kitchen and back rooms.

  • Don’t get comfortable: small maps mean faster hunts and fewer places to run.

You’ll want to explore the map early, not just for survival but to grab those first screenshots and clips before the internet floods with them.

There’s nothing quite like being one of the first to scream your way through a brand-new haunting.

Get Ready for the Late-Night Shift

Nell’s Diner officially opens November 11, and it’s shaping up to be one of Phasmophobia’s most atmospheric additions yet. Whether you’re in it for the scares, the lore, or the pure masochistic joy of a new small map, this one’s going to be a feast.

So grab your flashlight, warm up your mic, and say your prayers –  because at Nell’s Diner, the only thing on the menu is terror.

See you in the booths…just hope the ghost doesn’t take your order.
