The fog just got a little nastier with Dead by Daylight’s latest major update, Patch 9.2.0. Behavior dropped a whole new chapter featuring The Krasue, a terrifying killer ripped straight from Southeast Asian folklore, alongside new survivor Vee Boonyasak.
But that’s not all.
This patch also throws in a Shape rework, perk adjustments, quality-of-life changes, and the usual batch of bug fixes. Let’s break it all down.
The Krasue’s kit revolves around a mixture of stealth, mobility, and terrifying pressure:
Moves silently, leaving behind faint traces that make survivors paranoid about her positioning.
A dash-like mobility tool, letting her close gaps quickly and force survivors into unsafe plays.
Feeds off survivor suffering to strengthen her presence, punishing mistakes hard.
The Krasue can lock eyes on survivors, exposing them temporarily. It’s a deadly way to punish looping and make survivors think twice about line-of-sight gameplay.
The Krasue’s perks feel tailored to crank up the paranoia:
Survivors who perform rushed actions near the totem suffer from hindered effects.
Hooking a survivor applies a debuff to nearby survivors, weakening their healing and repair speeds.
Reveals survivor auras briefly after performing certain actions, keeping pressure high.
Survivors got some love too. Enter Vee Boonyasak, a character designed with resilience and team support in mind.
Resilient Spirit – Grants a speed boost when injured, rewarding risk-takers who push objectives while hurt.
Protective Bond – Lets you take protection hits more effectively when near allies, great for body-block saves.
Unyielding Will – Gives bonus progression when healing yourself or others, ensuring strong clutch plays.
Michael Myers (The Shape) got a serious rework in 9.2.0, making him scarier and more viable again:

Stalking Overhaul – Stalking now feels more impactful with clearer progression between Evil Within tiers.
Tier Adjustments – His tiers got a smoother flow, making Tier 3 more rewarding while lowering downtime.
Gameplay Balance – He’s less feast or famine and more consistently threatening.
Patch 9.2.0 isn’t just about the new chapter. It’s packed with other changes:
Made for This – Adjusted to reduce its stacking potential with other speed perks.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance – Slightly nerfed but still strong for regression builds.
Dead Hard – Minor tweaks to keep it balanced without gutting it.
Updated survivor animations for smoother interactions.
Killer hit validation feels tighter, reducing “I hit that!” moments.
Bloodweb optimizations for faster progression.
Fixed issues with certain killers’ powers misfiring in edge cases.
Survivors no longer clip into specific map assets.
Audio glitches tied to perks and map ambience squashed.
Dead by Daylight’s Patch 9.2.0 feels like a chunky update. The Krasue is a fresh addition that taps into global horror folklore. Vee adds a supportive but bold survivor option. Myers fans finally have a reason to pick him again.
With balance tweaks and QoL improvements rounding it out, this patch feels like Behavior trying to keep the game scary, fresh, and most importantly, fun.
What do you think? Will The Krasue float her way into the top tier of killers, or will she end up another mid-tier spooky face in the fog?
