Tired of wasting ammo on monsters who just won’t die in R.E.P.O.? Sick of teammates running around like little caffeine-riddled robots with tasers? It’s time to embrace the one weapon that says, “I could kill you, but it’s way more fun to yeet you into a wall instead.”
Welcome to Pulse Pistol supremacy – a glorious blend of sneaky damage, maximum humiliation, and crowd-controlling chaos.

The Pulse Pistol is a $15K+ special weapon you can snag from the Service Station. On paper, it sounds a bit underwhelming: it only does 25 direct damage and holds 12 rounds.
But here’s the kicker: it launches enemies like they just stepped on a ACME cartoon landmine.
That knockback slams them into walls and floors, wrecking the entities’ health, plus a generous 2 to 4-second stun window where you can really make ‘em regret their life choices.
Cost: $15k – $18k
Ammo: 12 per recharge
Damage: 25 direct damage + massive collision damage (minimum 1)
Stun: 2 – 4 seconds
Pro Tips: Shots to kill on enemies will vary greatly based on the environment, but you can dispatch most enemies with 2 – 5 shots (minus the Trudge’s thicc booty) if there are walls for them to bounce off of.
Aim to shoot entities into pits for an easy one-way ticket to the shadow realm, just be ready to grab the orb before it follows them into the afterlife.
This thing is less about raw numbers and more about turning the map into your personal pinball machine. Got a hallway with a clown? Send ‘em flying. Cornered by a Reaper? Boop it into the void and run.
The Pulse Pistol is a tactical dream for players who know positioning > panic.
It also combos beautifully with the rest of your arsenal. Slap a Tranq Gun on your hip for long-duration control, or switch to melee and tee off on stunned mobs like you’re doing a charity home run derby.
Use the walls, Luke: Direct hits are…fine, but banking them off terrain racks up bonus damage like a trick shot montage.
Pace your shots: You get 12 before needing to reload with Energy Crystals, which aren’t exactly growing on trees.
Stagger chain: Use with the Tumble Launch system and enjoy watching enemies flail like fish out of water.
Drone synergy: Bring along a Recharge Drone if you’re planning to be your squad’s living pinball launcher. You’ll need the support.
Let’s be real: if you need something dead, there are better options. It’s a tool, not a solution.
You’re going to look pretty stupid trying to Pulse Pistol your way through the mayhem of the later levels and moon phases while your squad gets sent to the scrap heap.

It also eats up inventory with Energy Crystals, and its effectiveness drops off fast if you can’t kite enemies into terrain.
Basically, if you’re trying to solo Rambo your way through a mission, go buy a Shotgun, Photon Blaster, or a C.A.R.T. Cannon/Laser like the rest of your fellow semibots.
I’ll probably condense all of the weapons into one funderful guide soon, but if you want some information on the rest of your available arsenal, you can check out these guides:
The Pulse Pistol is for the thinkers, the trolls, and the chaos merchants. It doesn’t kill – it embarrasses. And sometimes, that’s better. Especially when your teammates are watching and your enemies are flying.
So go ahead. Bounce a chef off a ceiling, stun a clown into a pit, and remember: if you’re not laughing after using it, you’re using it wrong.

Hi, I'm the founder and editor-in-chief of Report AFK, a gaming and anime site built for people who are tired of sanitized mainstream media coverage and toothless hot takes. I want to bring both the technical know-how and battle-tested gamer instincts to every article here. Whether I'm deep-diving into ARAM strats, roasting a broken patch, or side-eyeing the latest "diverse" but soulless AAA release, I write with one goal in mind: cut the fluff and tell it how it is. I've worked in digital marketing and spoke in conferences nationwide, but my heart’s always been in the trenches of gaming - whether that’s grinding ladders, theorycrafting late at night, or binge-watching the 38th questionable isekai this season. Follow my rants, insights, and updates on ReportAFK.com and let me know what you think in the comments - I read (and usually respond to) every. single. one.
A place for gamers, by gamers, untarnished by corporate gaming media and their nonstop attempts to elevate bad games while denouncing any developers brave enough to stand up to them.
